Piovà, our Barbera d’Asti Superiore, awarded by Falstaff
Once there was the CAMEL TROPHY, a competition for off-road vehicles. Today, there’s the BARBERA TROPHY for bottles of Barbera wine. The Camel Trophy was held on some of the most remote corners of the planet. The Barbera Trophy is held in Germany, in the offices of the culinary magazine FALSTAFF. Our Barbera d’Asti Superiore, Piovà 2016, was awarded 93 points, in a tie for second place along with a select few renowned Barbera wines from the Langa, Asti and Monferrato regions. Our Pi Cit Barbera d’Asti also placed among the top wines.
After a number of awards and recognitions, we can confidently state that excellent Barbera wines can be produced in the northern Asti region alongside the Freisa varietal.
